About the Course

The course aims to provide participants the necessary knowledge and skills to use Information and Communications Technology (ICT) tools and social media to validate their business ideas and verify their product/service. Participants will also learn how to solve customer segment issues for better market acceptance and commercial viability.

Trainer Profile: Benson Ong

Lecturer cum Specialist (Innovation & Enterprise) Benson currently teaches Entrepreneurship and International Business modules at the School of Business Management. Besides teaching full time students, Benson is very involved in adult learning programmes. He was the lead training curriculum developer and lead facilitator of workshops and acted as consultant to train food manufacturers in seeking sales channel through NTUC FairPrice, a project under the Enterprise Singapore Retail Incubation Programme. He also regularly conducts training on skills future courses on Three Smart Ways to develop a viable Business Idea, Enterprise Planning and Design Thinking courses.

Before joining Nanyang Polytechnic as a full-time academic staff, Benson had embarked on many entrepreneurial pursuits including insurance, training, food & beverage, telecommunications, IT solution and digital contents for 32 years. He is very passionate in transferring knowledge and sharing experiences with others for their personal growth and development to better face the challenges in the new economy. Benson graduated with a Bachelor of Business (2nd Upper Honours) from the Nanyang Technological University
