About the Course

This course let you understand the fuels and lubricants that go into your cars. You will learn about the difference between petrol and diesel driven engines, different types of fuel (92/95/98) and engine oil, and the additives added to them. The trainer will go through existing additives and identify key ingredients that ensure good lubrication for the car. You will also be exposed to some useful laboratory tests to measure lubricants? properties.Topics covered include:1. Petrol vs Diesel driven engines - the mechanics behind it 2.Research Octane Number for gasoline, why does it matter only in a Gasoline driven engine? 3.RON 92/95/98 and its significance. 4. What is engine oil? What it does in the automotive engine? Why we need an oil change periodically 5. Different grades of lubricants. Additives for lubricants and automotive fuels

    Singaporean Citizen < 50 years old (after funding): $171.20
