This course provides you with an understanding of Search Engine algorithms and how the algorithms affect organic search results of your websites. With this knowledge, we will introduce to you strategies for an effective webpage optimisation. This includes how to perform keyword research by understanding your target consumer psychology and search behaviour. With the keywords derived for optimisation, you will be taught how to conduct on-site and off-site SEO analysis to identify opportunities to improve your webpages' ranking on the Search Engine Results Page.

Charmaine Khoo, Course Manager
Charmaine currently manages the Marketing section at the School of Business Management. Her responsibilities include that of developing and conducting lessons on Marketing Communications, Sales, Emotional Intelligence and Leadership. Besides teaching students, Charmaine was involved in the training of adult learners in retail, sales and marketing when she was part of the pioneering team setting up the first CET center, the Singapore Institute of Retail Studies. Prior to joining the polytechnic, Charmaine had more than 10 years of sales and marketing experience, working in Caltex Singapore, developing new sales channels, planning and handling trade and promotion activities including fostering trade relationship with clients. Charmaine graduated with a BBA from the National University of Singapore and a MSc in International Marketing from the University of Strathclyde (Glasgow).
