The new Meetings, Incentives, Conventions & Exhibitions (MICE) industry landscape will require a whole new skill set, beyond that of the traditional event manager. As digital and hybrid events become new mainstream, event managers must develop digital literacy, and gain understanding of media and streaming technology. This course, co-developed with GEVME, will help you effectively plan, produce and measure results of digital events so as to be future-ready for the MICE industry in this new digital economy. GEVME is a Singapore-based virtual event platform.
Trainer Profiles:
Jonathan is the VP of Design and Co-Founder of GEVME. He has over 15 years of experience conceptualising cutting-edge technology for the events industry. Having graduated from Curtin University in Australia with a degree in Design, he went on to co-found GlobalSign.in (parent company of GEVME) which is now a leading event technology provider with offices in Singapore, France, Australia, India, Myanmar and the US. The products he designed are used by some of the largest corporations such as IBM, Danone, Starbucks and Forbes for their most important events. He recently conceptualised the Virtual Event Builder that allows event professionals to build fully customised virtual experiences visually - without any code.
Jasmine is a self-confessed tech geek who has fully embraced the possibilities that virtual events present. Having worked with amazing event teams on hospitality-focussed travel incentives, large conferences, sports events, sales kick-offs and team-building experiences, she has witnessed how digitalisation had changed the way event managers work and in this most recent acceleration in event tech innovation has completely transformed the role into that of a digital event manager. With her 16 years of experience running corporate events from both the operations and production perspective, she looks forward to helping you find your feet in virtual events and taking a leap together into the future.
Goh Yong Sheng, Adjunct Lecturer
Yong Sheng is with Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre as Head of Department for Corporate Sales for the last 7 years. His primary task is to guide his team to achieve business growth and market share in the corporate bookings of meetings, incentives, convention and exhibition (MICE) event space.
In the course of his work, he had helped clients plan and secure spaces at Suntec Singapore to have their successful events. He had also witnessed the changes brought on by the pandemic in the last 18 months; with the industry having to quickly adopt technologies to pivot to Hybrid and Virtual events. New considerations in event planning emerges with safe distancing measures and devising ways to engage with online audiences have become key factors to ensure a successful and fruitful event.
Yong Sheng was previously with a business association and private education industry before joining Suntec. He enjoys reading and has wide interests on topics related to thought leadership, business management, strategies, economics, and history.
