THE ECONOMICS OF SUPPLY MANAGEMENT IN THE SHARING ECONOMY

About the Course

Understanding of latest supply chain trends through digital transformation helps improve efficiency and effectiveness of today's executive. This is a one day workshop where some fundamental theory of sharing plaforms in logistics and supply management is explored, followed by discussion groups on the overview of such applications and the use in different areas of warehousing, inventory and transportation. Participants will benefit by bringing back some ideas for business innovation to their orgainsation using tech-enabled and urban solutions.

Trainer Profile:

Tan Teck Chuan, Senior Lecturer

Mr Tan Teck Chuan has taught adult learners and full-time students in Nanyang Polytechnic since 2013. He has delivered modules in Economics, Business Statistics and Supply Chain Management including Procurement, Logistics, Freight Management and Global Operations. Prior to teaching, Mr Tan spent 20 years in the shipping industry where he held various positions in global operations, strategic planning, trade and performance management, sales and agency management. Mr Tan has a Master's in Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts from the National University of Singapore.
