PERFORM FOOD CARGO INSPECTION

About the Course

Food cargo intended for export, transshipment and re-export must meet the requirements of individual destination countries. This course provides aspiring Inspectors and Approved Signatories with the knowledge needed to perform inspection services and fulfil the SFA Food Cargo Inspection Body Recognition (IBR) Programme requirements and obligations. This course is also designed to give participants a broad understanding of inbound and outbound food cargo inspections.

  • Target Participants

    This course is suitable for

    • Inspectors and Approved Signatories responsible to perform food cargo inspection in Singapore
    • Supervisors, Managers, and Management from food manufacturing establishments with export business
    • Supervisors, Managers, and Management from food trading companies with export business
    • If your role involves food quality assurance and food quality control
    • If your role involves planning, conducting, managing, and overseeing food cargo inspection
    • If your role involves establishing and maintaining the ISO 17020 management system for food cargo inspection

  • Certification

    Participants will be awarded Certificate of Completion if they achieved at least 75% attendance rate and met all course assessment requirements.

  • Admission Requirements

    Participants should have

    -Read Singapore Food Import and Export System published on SFA website

    -Some basic knowledge on follow food & beverage safety hygiene policies and procedures

    Course Date: 1 – 2 March 2022

    Registration: Opens on 7 Feb 2022 and closes on 22 Feb 2022

    Weekday; 2 days; 0830-1800; 16 hours

    Venue: Lessons will be conducted face to face at Nanyang Polytechnic
