This module seeks to give learners a better understanding on the certificate and rules of origin. Learners will acquire knowledge about the essential procedures required in the application of a certificate of origin including the processing steps in TradeNet and documentation requirements. They will also be introduced to the benefits of a certificate of origin, especially when trading with countries that participate in the various Free Trade Agreements together with Singapore.

Trainer Profile:

Our trainers are qualified lecturers from the School of Business Management, Nanyang Polytechnic. They are trained in the areas of:

• Classification and the harmonised system

• Rules of origin and free trade area

• TradeNet declaration

• Strategic goods control, and

• Essentials of internal (export control) compliance.

These trainers have over 10 years of industry experience in the areas of supply chain and business operations.

They possess vast experience in engaging learners in continuous education and lpre-employment training. In addition, they are the program experts in the domain area of supply chain management – including warehouse operations, inventory management, freight management, purchasing and supply management and shipping law.
