SGUS PROGRAMME IN BUSINESS PRACTICE - ACCOUNTING (SGUS BMC4)

About the Course

The SGUS Programme in Business Practice - Accounting is designed to train adult participants in meeting the rising complexity of accounting requirements and support the Skills Framework for the accountancy sector to develop talent with the necessary skillsets for the industry.

 

Articulation pathways are already in place to professional qualifications such as ACCA and ICAEW and the Advanced Diploma in Accountancy which is currently the only non-graduate pathway into Singapore Chartered Accountant qualification.

  • Target Participants

    The programme is suitable for:

    • Executive and management support staff handling accounting and administrative support functions in any industry, and who do not have a formal diploma qualification but want to enhance their employability, capabilities and market value to move up to the next level of their career path.

  • Admission Requirements

    Admission Requirements

    Applicants with any of the following qualifications are invited to apply for the course:

    1. Minimum of 3 GCE ‘O’ Level credits, including English, Mathematics and at least 1 year of relevant working experience;
    2. NITEC with GPA ≥ 3.5 OR GPA ≥ 3.0 and at least 1 year of relevant working experience; 
    3. Higher NITEC with GPA ≥ 2.0 OR GPA ≥ 1.5 and at least 1 year of relevant working experience;
    4. NITEC in Services / Technology with GPA ≥ 3.5 and at least 1 year of relevant working experience;
    5. Higher NITEC in Services / Technology with GPA ≥ 2.0 and at least 1 year of relevant working experience;
    6. Relevant WSQ Advanced Certificate (or higher), and at least 1 year of relevant working experience and Workplace Literary & Numeracy (WPLN) at Level ≥ 6.
    7. Others - At least 2 years relevant work experience (subject to interview/assessment).  

     

    Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

    Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on supporting evidence of competency readiness. Suitable applicants who are shortlisted may have to go through an interview and/or entrance test. The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.

  • Course schedule (conducting days & time)

    Course duration is from 28 Mar 2022 to 27 Sep 2022 and classes are conducted on Mondays & Wednesdays (Full day).

  • Course Fees and Funding

    Nett Course Fee payable for Singaporeans & Permanent Residents (incl GST): $500.00

    Applicants may use SkillsFuture Credit to offset the Nett Course Fee.
