About the Course

The SGUS Programme in Environmental Management & Water Technology aimed at equipping participants with skills in environmental management and water technology. The programme emphasises an applied and contextualised approach in training participants with the skills for career development in the environmental/water services industry. Participants will learn about  industrial waste & emission management, environmental health & safety, water & wastewater treatment technology and industrial membrane applications.   This programme prepares professionals to work in industry such as water treatment plants (e.g. desalination plant, NEWater plant), water treatment technology providers and waste management plants   This programme consists of the following components: Specialist Diploma in Environmental Management & Applied Water Technology Short course: EHS & Process Fundamentals Projects: Capstone EHS Project Capstone Water Technology Project.

  • Target Participants

    This course is suitable for:

    • Polytechnic or universities graduates seeking a career in the water treatment or waste management industry
    • PMET aiming to reskill and start new careers in water treatment and waste management industries.

  • Admission Requirements

    A relevant Polytechnic Diploma or University degree Applicants not meeting minimum entry requirements to be considered based on Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

  • Course schedule (conducting days & time)

    Up to 2 times per week on weekdays (full day). Tentative schedule will be provided upon course confirmation.

     

    Course duration is from 20 Dec 2021 to 14 Oct 2022.

  • Course Fees and Funding

    Nett Course Fee Payable for Singaporeans & Permanent Residents (incl GST): $833.33.

    Applicants may use SkillsFuture Credit to offset the Nett Course Fee.
