About the Course

The SGUS Programme in ICT (Cyber Security & Data Analytics) is designed to develop learners with relevant competencies for digital transformation in the workplace, with the focus on Cybersecurity and Data Analytics. Advance topics on AI are also covered.   At the end of the course, learners will be able to:  Solve a domain-specific problem encountered in daily activities using Computational Thinking skills. Articulate key IT emerging technologies such as AI, Data Analytics and Cybersecurity by describing its applications and benefits in various industry. Implement cybersecurity in organisation using appropriate security measures. Create insightful data analytics visualizations and dashboard to support business operations by mining data with analytics and visualization tools. Implement AI solutions to solve real life problems by developing and training Machine Learning model.

    The programme is suitable for:  Individuals who wants to kickstart their careers in Infocomm Technologies. Professional, Managers, Executive and Technicians who want to enhance their IT skills for digital transformation in their workplace.

  • Admission Requirements

    The entry requirements are:  Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents, aged 21 & above GCE ‘O’ level with English language (grade 1-7), Mathematics (grade 1-6) and a Science subject (grade 1-6) or equivalent with at least 3 years of relevant working experience. ITE NITEC GPA ≥ 2.0 with at least 2 years of relevant working experience. ITE Higher NITEC with at least 1 year of relevant working experience. Relevant WSQ (Singapore Workforce Skills Qualification) Diploma qualification or equivalent, with relevant working experience. WPLN (Workplace Literacy and Numeracy) Level ≥ 6 may be accepted as equivalent O-Level English Language & Math requirements.

  • Course schedule (conducting days & time)

    Course duration : 6 Sept 2021 to 28 Feb 2022 Weekdays : > Monday to Thursday : 9am to 1pm

  • Course delivery methods and assessments

    Classroom assisted lab sessions with in-course assessments ranging from Quizzes, Practical/Written Tests, Assignments and Projects.

  • Course Fees and Funding

    Nett Course Fee payable for Singaporeans & Permanent Residents (incl GST) : $500.00

    Applicants may use SkillsFuture Credit to offset the Nett Course Fees
